yeah i saw that - i reckon its due to tv/viewing legal rights or something. even if they manage to put some vids up after the event it would be cool

Is anybody else watching the ISU Live Stream? This is wonderfuL! Yeah, the video quality is very decent. Unfortunately my internet connection is too slow, so it just gets too bogged down after a race or two for me. I'm glad they're doing it, though. Tony's blog was usually well ahead of the ISU Live Results. I think that Team USA had a very good meet, all things considered. Our young skaters did wonderfully!

@ therockfairy - I hope you were up late for Jon Eley! Oops, I see that you were - for some reason the most recent comments weren't showing up when I first logged on. Good Show, Jon! Katherine Reutter won the 1500M(2) today, giving her DOUBLE-GOLD this weekend! Jessica Smith and J.R. Celski won BRONZE in the 500M and 1500M(2), respectively. I'm sure there will be more news/photos later!

Many thanks to the ISU for those of us who had to stay home for this WC. It was great seeing so many of you in the stands. I know you guys had a great time!
Safe travels to everyone!

Woop woop TEAM GB! Although some didn't do as well we did good - Haha yeah i managed to see Jon win and also the mens relay (unfortunately saw Jack stumble too)! Also got to see the medals ceremony too.
The feed was awesome and also good idea to gave the previous days videos especially with the time difference. It did show 'see you in Canada' at the end of the feed so hope they carry on! There was also a Facebook feed box where people could comment and there were some other brits watching too!
Now i need some coffee ......

I logged into the live stream yesterday for the last few minutes of the men's relay final. Too bad about that fall...but hey, you never forget a moment like that and it's early in the game. The live stream is really great!~ I remember how we would get up in the middle of the night back in back in 2003 and watch that little black and white board that just ticked off the laps and the positions. Talk about ST nerds! This is great, and the video are even up to watch later When technology works it's good. I think Team USA is off to a good start. Medals to haul home and things to work on. Thanks for the comments everyone....and GB has certainly come along. Smiles atcha RockFairy

I'm still in 'recovery' mode - trying to remember where I left off here at home with Real Life! Lots and lots of stuff is coming in from the World Cup, and we have AmCup2 and World Cup 2 coming up this weekend - holy fajita, it just doesn't stop! I'm trying to process my own photos, which IMO were disappointing, considering the access we had to the podium ceremonies - I'm hoping some of my friends' cameras were cooperating better than mine! During the relay ceremonies, the Chinese ladies were all looking right at me, when I got a 'card full' message on my camera... Such was the story of my photographic weekend...

There were more than a dozen Boots & Blades members at the competition this weekend - and at least another handful who aren't members, but who admitted to 'peeking in' on occasion! It was great to see y'all again (and for the new ones, it was awesome to meet you!) There were SO MANY BB active (and inactive) ST skaters who were at the competition as spectators!... Allison Baver; Alex Izykowski; Morgan Izykowski; Erin Bartlett; Tina Koenig; Landon Hatfield; Joey Lindsey; Michael Burdekin; Alex Hopp (at least I think it was Alex - with a buzz cut); Anthony Barthell; Jeff Simon; Simon Cho; Rachel Skrocki; Travis Jayner; Tamara Frederick; Eddy Alvarez; Robert Lawrence; Kendal Pumphrey; James Rodowsky; Katy Ralston; Liz Looby; Andrea Dehnke; Adam Callister; Cole Krueger; Jerebelle Yutangco; Brittany Salmon; Jacqueline Chen, and Kirsten Todd - also another skater who does not (yet) have a thread, but we've mentioned from time to time, Michael Hubbs! Did I miss anybody??? -------------------------------- Here are a couple of great 'summary' videos from the competition (from ISU's video coverage) - many interviews from key skaters! The first is from Saturday, the second is from Sunday. Personal notes: I LOVED Marianne St-Gelais in the second video: "Hi, ISU Facebook fan - I'm Marianne St-Gelais!" Haha! ...and I also see some shots of a couple of our BB members - I'll leave it up to them to point themselves out! ;D www.facebook.com/ISUShortTrackSpeedSkating?ref=ts#!/photo.php?v=172842866136592&set=vb.145517225545786&type=2&theater www.facebook.com/ISUShortTrackSpeedSkating?ref=ts#!/photo.php?v=10150428490840664&set=vb.145517225545786&type=2&theater Tags: Marianne St.-Gelais / Jon Eley / Katherine Reutter / Charles Hamelin / Kwak Yoon-Gy / Yui Sakai / Short Track Speedskating
