This is from back in August, but y'all might be interested to see who was invited to train with the National Team this fall. Some of these skaters, though invited, aren't currently training (taking time off, retired, etc.,), and some prominent names such as Jessica Smith and John-Henry Krueger may not be listed because they train elsewhere, such as with Salt Lake International (SLI). I'm not sure exactly where to put this but this seems like as good a place as any. I posted the Canadian team members for the 2015 Winter Universiade on the Canadian thread recently and this year it looks like the US has sent a team to the competition as well.
Here's the skaters according to the website, however, I don't think this list is completely accurate because some of the athletes are on the World Cup team and I think the team can only consist of 5 men and 5 women (but I'm not 100% sure). Athletes with stars beside their names are also on the World Cup team.

Alyson Dudek posted a picture on Twitter at the games with some team members so she may be a coach. I'm not as familiar with the US skaters so I can't identify who's in the picture, maybe someone else can help me with that:
The games started February 3rd and the short track competition is February 11-13.

Thanks, dk - nice to see JR & Chris back! Indeed. ISU has announced some rule changes around racing suits and helmets.
1. New racing suit design requirements. (Effective 2016/17)
2. Helmets can be personalized by each skater. Some restrictions apply. (Effective 2016/17)
3. Dedicated helmet numbers will be used as of the start of the 2015/16 season in all ISU Events. The numbers are determined in the order of World Championship rankings followed by 1000m World Cup overall rankings. (Effective 2015/16)

I'm also hearing about a big change in the start - no more digging one blade into the ice. Both blades must be totally flat on the ice when the starting gun goes off!

On the new starting line procedures, they (ISU) posted a notice about a year ago.

The Buffalo Short Track Championships (part of the Heartland Racing Series) on October 24 & 25, is expected to reach it's competitor limit (150 skater) on the first day of open registration (Sept 16).
