Rookie question does someone take JR's place or do they skate the team relay without him?

Oh, no! We fell!
Yes, as you can see, someone did take J.R.'s place - the coaches can use any of the 6 skaters in any round of the relay.

Rookie question does someone take JR's place or do they skate the team relay without him? Katy, one of the other guys will replace him. The fourth skater on the relay team is usually rotated among the younger guys to give them experience but JR is the anchor on our team and the power skater for the last laps.

Oops, I got all confused - what happened to Korea? I thought Russia & Japan were fighting it out for bronze, not silver.
Nevermind, I just saw the replay - Korea fell (I missed it)
Congrats to China! And to Russia/Japan who we don't often see on the podium!
Goodnight, all - we'll do this again next week!

Way back on page 44 WAGS wondered where I might be! Asleep. Headache, etc. So now I'm reading the recaps. Looks like a rough weekend for the US. But it's interesting to watch the new names and "faces" across the world of Short Track. It's great to see how many fans showed up here to watch the blinking numbers and available videos too! Someday I will make that European WC trip. Hope to see you guys in SLC for US Champs.
