Lot's of slipping and sliding. Katherine tweeted earlier today that "conditions were tough and the ice was bad". Travis tweeted earlier in the week that this facility is really a swimming arena. I thought maybe he was kidding but maybe not.

Back to J.R.'s race - I think that when they re-start a race, somebody has to leave the ice with a PEN. Don't y'all remember all the controversy at US Championships in St. Louis after that pileup when they were trying to make Apolo leave the ice on the re-start? I think that's where I first heard that.
Re: The 'swimming arena' - I saw a Tweet wishing the team luck in Nagoya, and telling them to bring their flippers. Now I get it!

I notice that they are back to the Oly skinsuits. I guess Underarmor has gone back to the drawing boards. Heard that the new skins from them were pretty uncomfortable. They're not even covering the Nike swoosh, either

The U.S. Olympic skinsuits in my opinion are probably the best looking out all of the U.S. skinsuits I've seen from the past.
