Jonathan Garcia wins heat 5 - second was Vladimir Grigorev (RUS). Jordan's still fastest third, and he only needs to beat one other third to advance.

Correction: Grigorev got a PEN - Wu Dajing (CHN) advances. Also, I believe that Jordan was IN after that heat!

Looks like Masson (FRA) & Eley (GBR) took a fall in Heat 8. Eley got a PEN. Gong Quiwen (CHN) and Evgenii Kozulin (RUS) advance.
The 4 fastest thirds, also advancing, are Jordan Malone (USA), Freek Van Der Wart (NED), Alexandre St. Jean (CAN), and Daan Breeuwsma (NED)
Congrats to all our guys! Ladies 1000M(1) Heats up next:
Heat 2 - Katherine Reutter Heat 5 - Tamara Frederick Heat 7 - Alyson Dudek
Only the top 2 in each heat will advance (no thirds).
Might be a resurface now...

Hi Lori! I am on ISU watching the blinking numbers; at least we didn't have to get up in the middle of the night!

Hey Lori! No video links yet? BOO HOO. Headed to ISU. BRB Nope - the ISU video feed is only for the medal rounds. It'll be the Blinking Numbers for Day 1, and for the Repechage rounds.

Hi Lori! I am on ISU watching the blinking numbers; at least we didn't have to get up in the middle of the night! Yeah, this time frame is very 'PST-friendly', isn't it?

Decorating the tree, so 3 laps at a time is okay--this time! HO HO HO. Once the first 3 laps are up, the ISU site is doing fine for me.
