1st place for the Men's Relay Team - they advance to Saturday's Semifinals!

Repechages are over, and both Emily and Robert advanced to the 1500M Semifinals!
There will be a break now - I've seen 2 different times for when racing will resume: 1:30pm and 1:50pm (Eastern time)

Simon won his heat, but Tony's reporting that Confortola (ITA) went into the pads feet first and was badly hurt. He may have broken something, and I'm guessing he'll be transported. If so, there will be a delay because they must wait for a new ambulance to arrive on site before racing can resume.

Travis came in 2nd in his heat and advances. Tony says Charles Hamelin fell on his own and hit the pads at the end. He finished the race, but will not move on.
