Hi Lori!
So for the Relay Canada skates in Heat #1 on newly resurfaced ice in a group of 3.
The US in Heat #3 will skate on crappy, chopped up ice with a group of 4 . It's all good, our guys are skating great and can handle it!

Wrap-up of today’s action:
1000M Ladies All of our ladies (Katherine Reutter; Alyson Dudek; Emily Scott) made it through the prelims and heats to the quarterfinals tomorrow. Emily was third in her heat, but if I’m reading the qualifiers correctly, she was one of the fastest 2 thirds, and will move on without the need to compete in the Repechage round.
1000M Men Travis Jayner and Anthony Lobello will move on to the quarterfinals. Kyle Carr will compete in the Repechage round for a second chance to move on.
1500M(1) Ladies Jessica Smith and Lana Gehring move on to the semifinals; Morgan Izykowski will have a second chance in the Repechage round.
1500M(1) Men All move on to the semifinals (Simon Cho; Jeff Simon; Robert Lawrence)
500M Ladies Jessica Smith and Lana Gehring move on to the quarterfinals. Alyson Dudek will probably be moving on, too. The 4 fastest thirds move on, and she was the 4th fastest third. If I’m wrong, she’ll be in the Repechage round.
500M Men Simon Cho was unlucky in the Prelims – he tangled with the French skater at the start, but the referees did not see fit to restart the race, so we’ll see him in the Repechage round. Jeff Simon made it through to the quarterfinals, and Robert Lawrence also advanced as one of the 4 fastest thirds.
1500M(2) Ladies Katherine Reutter automatically advanced to the semifinals; Emily Scott will compete in the Repechage round for a second chance to qualify; Morgan Izykowski incurred a penalty and will not continue in this distance.
1500M(2) Men Travis Jayner and Kyle Carr advanced to the semifinals; according to Tony, Anthony Lobello (third) will advance due to a penalty on Niels Kerstholt – otherwise, we’ll see him in the Repechage round.
Relay Heats (Men) Participating were Travis Jayner, Anthony Lobello, Jeff Simon and Kyle Carr. They finished first and will advance to the semifinals.
Corrections are most welcome!
The schedule shows 9:10am (Eastern time) tomorrow for a start time - again, corrections are welcome.

does anyone know what happened to wang meng? Somebody else asked that same question on Tony's chat, and I mentioned that I was also wondering. The answer is gone now, but I 'think' I saw that she was contemplating retirement. Don't quote me though... I also asked about Tatiana Borodulina (AUS), 'cause I saw an article that said she may be returning to Russia to skate for them. I saved the article in my Google Alerts, and if I can find it again, I'll post it. Terao Satoru (JPN) retired, and as you know, Evgenia Radanova (BUL) has retired. No telling about what's going on with the Koreans, 'cause they weren't there... There were SO MANY new names - I felt like a fish out of water, and it's gonna take awhile to get familiar with them... but I suppose we have 3-1/2 years to figure it out, eh?

Awesome! So that'll be 9pm Eastern. Hmmm...will they still be actually racing at 9pm? In this morning's racing, the Repechage round is over for the 1000M and the 1500M(1). We had Kyle Carr in the 1000M - he made it to the Repechage Final, but finished 4th, so he won't advance. Morgan Izykowski made it into the Repechage Final for the 1500(1), but incurred a penalty and won't advance. Those were the only two skaters for the USA this morning. 1000M Quarterfinals coming up after lunch - don't have a start time though...

CBC Radio 3 is a web based streaming radio station that plays very current music, mostly Canadian content. www.cbc.ca/sports will live stream the World Cup. Go to this website then select these tabs: "watch", then "sports" , then highlight "live streaming", then find the image for the world cup at 3pm eastern time. I'm not sure if this will be available from isp's outside of Canada....... Don't forget this link if you live in Canada! (I'm getting a message that the stream is not available outside Canada.) Sunshine, if you're able to see this, let us know what's going on! The link to the schedule that aaosmts19 posted on Page 1 says that the next racing is scheduled to start at 1:30 Eastern (that's in about a half hour). But as always, times can change...
