...is awesome! I was gonna start this thread awhile back, but Jerry has just been noted in the most recent issue of The Racing Blade, so there's no time like the present to give him our personal kudos. If you've checked out Jerry's photo albums - www.nationalspeedskatingmuseum.org/Photo%20Albums/JerrysAlbums.htm - you know that he travels to events both here in the USA and around the world, taking great photos of the skaters in action. Jerry has a paragraph on his website that reads as follows: I highly encourage you to use (these photos) on your own computer, in school projects, and on your non-commercial web pages (including MySpace and Facebook, etc.), without asking, as long as you abide by the items listed on the Copyright Page to promote both the sport and the skaters shown here. I took these photos with the purpose of increasing knowledge of the sport of Speed Skating. It is hoped that everyone will benefit, including the skaters (and their coaches) shown here! How much more accommodating can a person be with his photos? Apart from his generosity with his photos, the thing that impresses me the most about Jerry is that for many years, he has been taking pictures of skaters the world has never heard of - long before they burst onto the world stage. His archives are truly a treasure-trove! One of our goals here at BB is to start creating fans for the next generation of ST speedskaters and Olympians. Look at the Junior Varsity and Farm Team sections of BB - if not for Jerry's photos, we would have virtually nothing to start their threads with, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts! Keep taking those photos, Jerry!

Hello! Jerry Search here, and yes, Richard was my older brother. He died from leukemia in 1966. He is the main reason I became involved in speed skating, in 1964. You can read a little about him here (down about half way on the page) socalspeedskating.org/memorial.htmlAs for the Disneys, I haven't heard anything about Jack for a long time, but Bill passed away in April of 2009. So who are you? Did you know my brother very well? Jerry

Hi, Greg. Nope, I don't remember you. What's your last name? If you don't want to post it, you can email me here: jerrycom2@earthlink.net Also, remember, as I'm sure you do, that was a very long time ago!! And that Jerry would have been Gerry Higbie. We still keep in touch from time to time.
