Summer Camp Series - Total Control Skating
The Elite Speed Program (Elitespeedprogram@gmail.com) in Columbus, Indiana will be holding 3 summer camps in 2011. Each camp is designed for intermediate skaters to advance and develop skating skills. The proven methodology used for these camps is a blend of methods that emphasizes skating skills, balance, control and power. Each camp will have an Elite skater there to assist. Camp Pain which was held in August 2010 had Men’s Junior National Champion Robert Lawrence. You can see some videos of Camp Pain on YouTube, keyword search, Camp Pain Speedskating.
Camp Dates (tentative)
July 13-17 August 2-7 (Last Day is a Mini-Meet)
Besides reasonable rates for local hotels, there is a dorm available on a first come first serve basis for those who register early. Each camp is limited to only 25 skaters. A minimum of 12 skaters is required for a camp to be held. Registration begins when the forms are posted on the US SpeedSkating site. There is room for 8 girls and 8 boys in the skate dorm. You must be 12 years old to stay unaccompanied in the dorm. Due to limited space the dorm is limited to camp participants only.
The Skate Dorm Camp Pain August 2010
Awards and prizes for: Hardest Worker, Most Improved, Most Cheerful, Most Entertaining and of course the Coach Award. Who is going to win the Wall Sitting Contest, and who will win the Sit-up Contest. Guaranteed, you’ll not only improve, but you’ll have fun doing it! Camp Focus & Strategy 1. This is a Short Track camp. 2. Cross-overs a. Extending the Cross-over down the track b. Increasing the power of Cross-overs 3. The Outside Pass a. Skating the outside track b. Outside Track Cross-overs 4. Bucket Drills 5. The New Skating Position a. Lots of Down-Time b. Increased Leg Compression 6. Skills a. Practice 30 skate skills (Ice and Dryland) b. Lots of Edge work.

The Elite Speed Program (Elitespeedprogram@gmail.com) in Columbus, Indiana will be holding two summer camps, June 16th -22nd and July 30th - August 4th. These camps are designed for skaters of all levels. June Camp 3 DAY SUE ELLIS CAMP & 3 Dennis Longdon Camp TOTAL OF 6 DAYS of Camp Camp Dates
June 16th-22nd, 2012
This 6 day camp will begin with 3 days of Sue Ellis instruction approximately 3 hours a day with 3 hours of ice each day (Hamilton Center Ice Arena, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive, Columbus, IN 47201, (812) 376-2686). After the first 3 days there will be an additional 3 days of practices designed to reinforce her lessons.This camp is designed for skaters of all levels and there are experienced Sue Helpers to assist and provide more individualized attention.The last 3 days will be led by a coach who has been sponsoring Sue Clinics for over 10 years and is well versed in her methods.

The cost of this camp is $450.00. There is a 20% discount for large families where 3 or more skaters are signing up for this camp.
