Because this season includes the Olympic Games, the schedule may be a bit different from the norm, and various competitions will take on different meanings. For instance: 1) World Cups 1 & 2 will be used to qualify countries for the Olympic Games. (Not quite sure of the specifics on that)... 2) The US Championships will be the first major competition of the season (in September, rather than in December), and is considered to be the 'Olympic Trials' for our US Olympic hopefuls. 3) American Cup 3, will potentially hold greater-than-normal significance this season - it may be the qualifying competition for the World Championships/World Team Championships. 4) There is no indication that there will be a World Cup #5 or World Cup #6 at all this season (nor a North American ST Championships)... Thank you, Mtnme and Sunshine for helping to fill in some of these blanks... keep checking back for updates!
