Uh-oh - in the 1500M(2) B Final, Emily was contending, but she must have gone inside a block, 'cause she suddenly cut into the middle & circled back around - she finished last... Yeah, me too, Lily! As y'all can see below, J.R. did not start in the A Final - he was moving kinda slow after his fall in the semis, and I was wondering if he'd be able to skate... Chris was never really in contention in the B Final - but kudos to him for getting into so many B Finals in his 'rookie' season! Men's 1500M(2) Final B Place Start Pos. Wow - unfortunate (and scary) exchange by the Japanese ladies, but they still got the bronze - and the 'bowling for skaters' didn't affect any who were actively on track...
Congrats to China for another relay Gold!

Tony Chung contacted somebody in Nagoya and heard that J.R. kneed himself in the face when he fell in the semifinal and has a possible concussion. My understanding is that if there's any possibility of a concussion, they won't be medically cleared to continue racing. Heal fast, J.R.! ---------------------------- Okay, we're done for Nagoya - on to Shanghai next week! Safe travels to all of the teams... As we prepare for Shanghai, you can refer to the following BB thread: www.therockerforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=trips&action=display&thread=1050Goodnight!

Just saw a late Tweet from Tony - USA will NOT be competing in Shanghai. He speculates that it's 'cause it is too close to US Championships, and I concur - they've skipped WC4 in the past for that very reason, so it's a reasonable assumption. The list of competitors should be out shortly (Dec 2 was the deadline for final entries), so we'll know for sure very soon! Here's the link for entries: www.shorttrackonline.info/live.php?comp=822&list=competitors

J.R. tweeted this about 1 hour ago: "Peace out Japan. I miss you already. #nagoya #japan 🇯🇵🏯 " I trust that he is feeling better!

Travis' joy was 'infectuous', wasn't it? ;D Sounds like a positive for J.R.!
