Oh I'm so so sorry. No words...he has been skating like a man on fire since he showed up on the senior skating scene. Jeff has overcome so many injuries, this was to be his year. Sending out best wishes for a speedy recovery, on all levels.

I saw Jeff at the Oval yesterday - on crutches, but smiling! As Olympic Trials are underway, I’m still playing ‘catch-up’ with World Cup results. If the Gold Medal in World Cup 4 was Jeff’s final ST race, he certainly went out with a bang!!! Here are Jeff's results from World Cups 3 & 4 (the two Olympic qualifying competitions). He was a member of the Gold-Medal-Winning Men’s Relay team at World Cup 4 in Kolomna Russia! The team’s overall performance in these World Cups earned the Men the 2013-2014 World Cup Championship in the 5000M Relay, and also qualified the USA to enter a Men's relay team and the full contingent of 3 men in each individual distance at the Sochi Olympics in February! In addition, the Men won the OVERALL World Cup Relay Championship for this season! World Cup 3, Torino Italy (November 7-10, 2013)1500M – Not Entered 500M – Not Entered 1000M - Not Entered 5000M Relay – Jeff skated in the Heats, where the team finished first - ultimately finishing 5th in the A Final World Cup 4, Kolomna, Russia (November 14-17, 2013)1500M – Not Entered 500M – Pre-Prelims (2nd); Prelims (2nd); Heats (2nd); EF (2nd); QF (3rd) 1000M - Not Entered 5000M Relay – 5000M Relay – Jeff skated in the Quarterfinals, Semis and Finals in the relay - the team finished 1st in every round, ultimately winning the GOLD MEDALMen’s relay Gold Medal ceremony, Kolomna Russia - L to R: Chris Creveling; Eddy Alvarez; J.R.
