Thanks to mtnme for alerting me to some sweeeet deals on Southwest Airlines to Milwaukee.
They're adding Milwaukee as a new destination in time for World Cup 4, and if you hurry, the BEST deals are through TODAY, June 25.
Sadly, this will not happen in time for the Oly Trials, but if you find the airfare directly into MQT to be too expensive, Milwaukee is quite a bit closer than the other alternative airports (Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis), and is probably a prettier drive, too.
I've also been told to advise people to check out Green Bay as an alternative airport - it's along the same route to MQT as you'd take from Milwaukee, and is a couple of hours closer. Thanks, aofreak for the advice!

The only problem with that is the darn rent car. Some of the providers charge extra when you cross state lines. Do What? So be sure to check it out. When I first looked into it, I preferred the Green Bay Route. Pure Interstate driving. But then my return flights were a little too close for comfort to risk the drive back to Green Bay. So......

Mtnme found a great deal on ground transportation from the MQT airport to area hotels, if the times fit into your schedule - see www.rocker-u.net/world_cup4.htm for more details. As for the rental car, I've never run across that, but it probably is wise to check it out beforehand (either that or don't tell 'em and cross your fingers that you don't have an accident! )

Here is the lineup for the Individual Distances for World Cups 3 & 4. Jeff Simon is taking JR's place at the World Cups, so I'm assuming he will be skating any distances listed for JR(?). If we qualify a full team of 5 women and 5 men at WC's 3 & 4, this should be the lineup for the Olympics as well. MEN: 1500M – 1) Ohno 2) Celski 3) Malone 500M – 1) Ohno 2) Malone 3) Cho 1000M – 1) Ohno 2) Jayner 3) Celski LADIES: 1500m – 1) Reutter 2) Baver 3) Derrick 500M – 1) Dudek 2) Reutter 3) Gehring 1000M – 1) Reutter 2) Derrick 3) Baver You can check my logic on the Olympic Team Selection Process thread (scroll down to the final post) - I'd welcome any corrections. therockerforum.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=trips&thread=411&page=1The way things played out, it ends up being the Top 3 finishers in each Distance from Trials.
