I've updated the original post upthread with current information on the 2015-2016 schedule, based on information from the USS Calendar and this ISU link sent to me by dk: static.isu.org/media/198197/1933-decisions-of-the-council-communication.pdfNo World Cups in the USA this season - though Montreal is lovely in the Fall! I haven't seen that World Jr. Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria is official yet. It's listed for Feb 5-7, which is the same weekend as WC5 in Dresden. I find it odd that both would be listed on the same weekend, as some of the top Juniors in the world are also on World Cup teams! I'll try to double-check that date for Jr. Worlds... Now that the ISU schedule is coming together, maybe we can start looking for more info from USS on the locations of our domestic competitions.

Thanks sk8erfan, I've made the change above - it didn't seem possible that they were having Jr. Championships and WC5 on the same weekend!

Updates to the 2015-16 schedule have been made above - the most MAJOR change is that EVERYTHING has changed for the Fall World Cup Qualifier! They are now showing it A) as a combined event with American Cup 1; B) in Milwaukee instead of Salt Lake City; and C) on Oct 3-4 instead of Sept 26-27.They've added an American Cup 2, to be a combined event with US Championships - date and location for US Championships has not changed (still Jan 6-8 in Salt Lake City). World Cup 4 is missing from the schedule (though it still appears on the ISU schedule, which is the one I'd trust) JR US Championships is now listed as a 2-day event (previously listed as a 3-day event). They've narrowed the venue options for National Age Class Championships to somewhere in Wisconsin. I also had to chuckle when I noticed that nearly every international event is apparently being held in Alabama. I didn't know they even HAD speedskating in Alabama, nor did I know that they had cities by the names of Montreal, Toronto, Lillehammer, Seoul and Dresden! (Surely a typo)...

Hi Lori, Have you heard anything about this event? I first thought someone had made a mistake to include it in the STSS communication as there's a trophy for synchronized skating in Shanghai at the same time. But the event is now actually shown up on the short track schedule for the 2015-16 season. I've done some research but I can't seem to find any related information. I've seen other STSS Trophy events in the past but never seen an ISU sanctioned one. "12. ISU Shanghai Trophy
The Overall World Ranking List (see Rule 286, paragraph 9.d) will be used to determine the participants invited to the ISU Shanghai Trophy in March 2016. " static.isu.org/media/198349/1935-world-cup-stss-2015-16.pdfshanghaiTrophy.png (18.51 KB)

That sounds kinda cool - it'll have both synchronized skating AND short track. And I like that the relay teams will be mixed countries!
