Good night, Lori. Really doesn't make sense that US is blocked from the feed when it's not offered through icenetwork here.

As did all of our men! John-Henry scared me though... he started off the line in 5th, and his time in comparison to the others made me wonder if he had a problem at the start - but no worries, he quickly took the lead in Lap 2 and never let it go!
JH and Thomas won their heats; Aaron was 2nd For the Ladies, all 3 were 2nd in their heats
Up next are the 500M Heats - 'Ladies first'!

In the Ladies 500M Heats, Jacqueline and April finished 4th and Kimi was third - so all of our Ladies have been eliminated.

All 3 Men advanced to the Quarterfinals! John-Henry won his heat - Aaron & Thomas were 2nd.
Interesting - in Thomas' heat, the German and Australian skaters had EXACTLY the same time in the first 3 laps, and were off by only 1/100th of a second in Lap 4. I don't think I've ever seen that before - ultimately, the German skater was penalized, but they were really battling it out!

In the Quarterfinals, John-Henry was 1st in his heat. Thomas and Aaron were second - all advance to the Semifinals!

In the Men's Semifinals, Thomas Hong finished 1st in his heat and will go to the Final! John-Henry and Aaron Tran were in the same Semifinal heat. Aaron was 1st in every lap but the final one, finishing 3rd. John-Henry's times indicate he may have fallen early on. There was a penalty on one of the Hungarian skaters, so I had hoped that maybe one of our guys would be advanced in the dust-up - but no. So - we still have Thomas Hong in the Men's 500M Final, plus our Men's Relay team in the Semifinals yet to come tonight!

Wow, that looked like a wild Ladies Final! The event leader, Noh Do Hee (KOR) fell, and the Russian, Sofia Prosvirnova, set a new Junior World Record!
Thomas is skating NOW in the Men's Final!

Awwww mannnn... Thomas finished 4th, and it looked like he fell, maybe in Lap 3(?) The Chinese skater got a penalty - not sure if that figured into Thomas' problems, but there's really nothing to be done in a final. It's not like he could be 'advanced' onto the podium. Bummer.
Oh, well - good luck to the Men in the relay Semis!

Nooooooo, USA finished 2nd, but got a PENALTY!!! In the first men's Semifinal, China broke the Jr. World Record set yesterday by Korea! Okay, I'm off to SLEEP!!! The final day (1000M, 1500M Superfinal and Relay Finals) start overnight tonight @ the same time - after the time change (don't forget to move your clocks forward) it will be 5am Eastern; 2am Pacific. EDIT: Since the time change doesn't 'officially' happen until 2am, the start time will be the same as before: 4am Eastern, 1am Pacific! Aloha!

April Shin (in a photo finish) and Jacqueline Chen finished 2nd in their heats and will advance - Kimi Goetz came oh-so-close, but finished 3rd and will not be moving on (for the Ladies, they aren't taking any thirds).

Both Jacqueline and April finished 4th in their Heats and will not advance, so our Ladies are done for the weekend.
