Dang, but this young lady did IMPRESS at Olympic Trials! She came in 10th overall, and as high as 8th in the individual distance rankings. She always seemed to be in the mix, and (in my novice opinion) appeared to be a very confident and controlled skater. She's 20 years old, with very limited ST competition experience - I can't wait to see what the future holds for her! Emily is in black (#48) You GO, girl!!!

I'm really happy for Emily Scott - this weekend she scored her first 'A Final' win! She impressed us so much at Olympic Trials, despite the fact that it was only her 3rd meet - it was only a matter of time.
This young lady has everything it takes, and will be fun to watch in the next few years!

Emily skated at World Cup 1 in Salt Lake City (Oct 21-23, 2011). She advanced in both of her distances, (didn't need the Repechage Rounds). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I *think* that she made her first-ever World Cup A Final in the 1500M(1)! In that race, she missed the podium and a Bronze Medal by a mere 72/100ths of a second - good show, Emily!1500M(1) – MADE IT TO FINAL; Heats (1st); SF (2nd); Final A (4th) 1000M - Not Entered 500M – Not Entered 1500M(2) – Heats (2nd); SF (5th) 3000M Relay - Emily competed in the Semifinals in the Ladies' Relay - the team ultimately finished 1st in the B Final. Emily (#370) in 4th position in the 1500M(1) A Final!
