US Championships is the next event on the Short Track schedule - look in the OP (Original Post) above for all known info that will be helpful to those attending the event, as well as for those who will be following along at home. If you know of any additions, news or corrections that will help us, please post it here - this thread is open to both members AND guests. Admission for this event is FREE (I had to ask around to find out) - I went to the USS website first, but nothing about tickets or admission prices...

...because heaven forbid they should actually advertise the event - or horror of horrors!...bring in some money! pppffft! ...well, it does tie in to our constant question: "Do they really want the sport to grow?" The non-advertising is certainly an issue - but IMO they should charge admission, 'cause it says they have something of value to offer! A wise friend once had a good point on the subject - and I have to go from memory on the quote, 'cause it would take me a year to find it: "They should charge an admission price that's high enough that folks will think they're missing something special if they pass it up!" Lori---follow along at home? Are they going to broadcast or blinking number US Champs or will you provide us a play X play? Mtnme--Couldn't agree more gasp: "No" on 'they' or the blinking numbers. I was simply crossing fingers that Tony will be streaming, 'cause he has done so for quite a few years now... I would be happy to provide play X play, but I don't have that smartphone yet... (I could recruit a Phone-A-Friend - which I have done in the past - but it's much less efficient than Tony, so I'm betting on him!)

Contacted USS regarding the list of skaters for US Champs. TPTB stated "when I left last night I believed the list was posted." I can't find it. So is this a scavenger hunt? Whoever finds it first gets a free trip to SLC for the weekend? hee hee
