As I said before, Kendal & James were 3rd in their heats and could have advanced if their times had been among the fastest thirds. But they both had the misfortune to be in very slow heats (we've all seen heats like that in the 1500 - everybody's waiting for somebody else to make a move).
Something to note is that in Kendal & James' heats, the WINNERS of each heat had slower times than the qualifying thirds!

I have a lot of hope in JH getting a medal. It reminds me of when I first watched JR race and I was like, "He's going to be a star." And he did become one.
