Yeah, I feel bad for Kwak too - I don't think he was gonna take gold away from NED, but they could've had silver...
That was one of the most exciting relays I've seen in quite some time!
Kudos to the Dutch - great music, great lighting, packed house. The Dutch fans are always a hoot!
They're interviewing Knegt and Niels now - I've only ever heard Niels speak English, haha!

I had to go out early this morning but got back just in time to see Lana her latest Gold! Sorry I missed Simon's race but got to see his winning moment in the montage and saw J.R. win Bronze and the ladies win their Silver.
It was nice to see the Dutch win the men's relay on their turf. But wow, what a pass J.R. made to win the B Final!
Overall, the U.S. team did so well and the whole event was great!
Have a great day, everyone!

What an exciting weekend of skating, even though I checked in at the ISU site long after the daily races were complete.
I seem to recall when the new ST rules were put in place, it was noted that as the season began the refs/judges would be lenient with the new rules until the skaters and coaches gained a better understanding of how they would be implemented. They basically referred to it as a "grace" period.
After this weekend's competition, I guess we can say the honeymoon is over, and the rules are being enforced! I have never seen so many PENs and a yellow card! WOW! Would love to have seen these races in person.....
Hats off to the winners and those who gave such a valiant effort!
