Good morning everyone! I'll be checking in and out during the day. Congratulations to Katherine and Jeff for their medals in yesterday's events.
My sympathy to the Japanese team. It must be so difficult to compete when their thoughts are far from Sheffield.

In the ladies' prelims, all of the Chinese and Korean ladies advanced, as did all of the Canadians. One of the Japanese ladies advanced, but the other, Biba Sakurai, just missed being one of the 2 fastest thirds. Elise Christie finished first, but incurred a penalty.
