. Did you know Argentina has a short track speedskating program? Check out their website here: www.patinushuaia.com/galeria/index.phpThe site appears to be in Spanish, but the photos are wonderful, and need no translation. This is like seeing the birth of something, when it's young, and new, and trying to navigate its way along its learning trajectory, going forward despite not having a history of the sport in the area. Outdoor rinks, no pads, while skating beneath breathtaking views at the ends of the South American continent. Let's wish this club all the best as they grow. I also posted a few things on IT about the club and the interesting gentleman, Andres Chaves, I've been chatting with on FB as he promotes the sport of short track speedskating in this far corner of the world. therockerfund.wordpress.com/2010/09/06/short-track-speedskating-in-argentina/?preview=true&preview_id=2028&preview_nonce=6d9d5e66b1Tags: Short track speedskating, patinushuaia.com, Skating school Nora Vega, Andres Chaves, Ushuaia, Argentina

Wouldn't it be awesome to go there for a World Cup? It's a place I've always wanted to see...

Somehow I missed this "update" back in September. This will be fun to watch. The rink is outside? WOW!
