Coverage includes: US Terr. & Poss. Including Puerto Rico, USVI, Australia, & New Zealand Probably a stupid question, but is it broadcoast INSIDE the US? Perhaps that is implied? US wasn't mentioned in 'coverage...', just it's territories....

I checked out the link, and I'm thinking this is a web broadcast, rather than TV - you still can't tune in to it, Breidy? Also, the CCTV links that Tony posted on his website seem to be working for me now - I'll give 'em another go when the event is actually being broadcast... www.shorttrackhd.com/WC109.html

From USS: Seoul, Korea, September 24, 2009 Fast short track speedskating from the U.S. team dominated the first day of competition at the ISU World Cup 2 in Seoul, Korea. Nine skaters from Team USA will be skating in 10 spots during the Min's and Ladies 500M and 1500M quarter-finals on Saturday, 26 at the Mokdong Ice Rink in Seoul. Jeff Simon (Las Vegas, NV) showed up to skate when he hit the ice at the event, earning the fastest time in the Men's 500M. His time of 41.982 was fast enough to put him at the top of the distance classification and move him into the quarter-finals. 2006 Olympian Anthony Lobello (Tallahassee, FL) and Simon Cho (Laurel, MD) both won their 500M heats and will also skate in the quarters on Saturday. Not to be outdone, Alyson Dudek (Hales Corners, WI) made it out of the Ladies 500M preliminaries and heats to win a spot in the quarter-finals. She will be skating against Xinyue Wang, Seung-Hi Park and Kalyna Roberge in her 500M quarter-final on Saturday. Lana Gehring (Glenview, IL) made it through the preliminaries but did not advance in her heat. Jessica Smith (Melvindale, MI), who also skated the 500M, fell during her race and did not make it out of the preliminaries. Katherine Reutter, who won a 1000M gold medal in last weekend's World Cup competition, topped the Ladies 1500M distance classification following the preliminaries and heats with a time of 2:25.632. Her fast time puts her in the 1500M quarter-finals along with two-time Olympian Allison Baver (Sinking Spring, PA) and 2006 Olympian Kimberly Derrick. All the U.S. men participating in the Men's 1500M advanced to the quarter-final rounds. Two-time Olympic gold medalist Apolo Anton Ohno, Jeff Simon and Jordan Malone (Denton, TX) each won their heats to move on in the event. Racing continues Friday, September 25 with the 1000M preliminaries and heats, and the Men's and Ladies Relay quarter-finals. The Ladies brought home a silver medal in the relay following the competition last week in Beijing, China and both the Men's and Ladies Relay teams are looking for gold at this event. For complete results, visit the US Speedskating Results Page at www.usspeedskating.org or follow US Speedskating on Twitter@usspeedskating for competition updates and results. The US Speedskating Community page, Up to Speed, also carries results, photos and information.

Tony Chung posted the following on his twitter page: World Cup 2 will be on SBS at 3pm Saturday. That's 11pm PST or 2am EST Friday/Saturday morning. He also said he'd be updating his website with instructions on how to watch SBS online. I haven't seen an update on that yet, but I did some searching and I think I may have found a link to where it will be broadcast. wwitv.com/tv_channels/8000.htmThe above is a link to GTB SBS. I found their website, translated it via Google Translator, and found "Speed Skating World Cup 2 Evade" listed at 15:05 South Korean time (3:05 pm). There's always a chance that link is not correct, so I'd keep an eye on Tony's website for further info: www.shorttrackhd.com/Tony's website does say that a Chinese channel, CCTV-5, will broadcast ST on Sunday at 5:26pm and 6:55pm China time. That's 2:26am and 3:55am PST (5:26am and 6:55am EST). If I'm reading that correctly, CCTV-5 will broadcast only on Sunday, while SBS will broadcast Saturday. Clear as mud, huh?! ETA: If SBS is going to have ST coverage, it looks like it won't be until an hour after the events have started for the day. ISU lists 2:00 pm Seoul time (14:00) as the start time, while looking at the above, SBS won't broadcast until 3:05 pm Seoul time (15:05).

Tony says that there's a TVUNetwork channel broadcasting LIVE NOW from Seoul! The link was posted by a BB member on FB: pages.tvunetworks.com/watchTV/index.html#c=81043You'll probably need to download the channel as instructed, then use the menu on the left side to scroll to program #81043 KNN SBS. Good luck to all of you! My FAST laptop is in the shop, and my SLOW desktop can't comprehend this, so for myself, I'm stuck with the ISU 'flashing numbers' - I hope y'all fare better!

Well, it worked. US in Korea skating live with the flashing numbers on a side bar. The numbers are ahead of the video feed, and the video feed looks like slo-mo replays. But, it's better than nothing. Not a good day for the US. You can tell Apolo is spent and KR took a tumble. As justsayin' observed, looks like she wrong-footed a turn and landed on her butt.
These guys need the long rest that is coming up. Hope Coach Jae just lets them chill for a few days.

Yay! Finally got to watch the races "live". A big shout out to Tony Chung for keeping us updated on what's happening. I agree with Gasp. Apolo did look spent at the end of that 1500m. But he gets kudos from me for even getting on the ice this weekend with that "squirrel" in his stomach. And Katherine. Man, she was so close to a medal in the 1500m. But as they say, "that's short track." Better luck in the 1000m, Katherine.
Go Team USA in the relays, both men and women!
