On to Junior Worlds. Let's hope USS has enough money to buy plane tickets. Better yet, let's hope they bought them before they left for Sochi. You know how expensive those last minute tickets can be! Ugh...

The one cure for post-Olympics withdrawal is that there are so many important competitions still coming up! World Championships, Nationals/AmCup Final, and next up is Junior World Championships in less than 2 weeks - let's get this party started!
Does anybody know if this will be live-streamed?

Many thanks to a friend for finding this link to the Live Stream - look in the lower left corner and you'll see a 'Live' tab and a 'View' tab - we'll continue to monitor it for any further info! erzurumswjc.com/And here's the link to the schedule - Erzurum is 7 hours ahead of Eastern time, 10 hours ahead of Pacific time. It looks like racing starts at 11am each day - which is time for USA... erzurumswjc.com/program

Will we ever get to watch Short Track again without screwing up our sleep patterns?

Here's the Canadian Team for the World Junior Championships this weekend. Men Sasha Fathoullin Samuel Girard Sébastien Gagnon Maxime Laoun | Women Namasthée Harris-Gauthier Kim Boutin Audrey Phaneuf Joanie Gervais |
Sasha, Kim, Audrey and Joanie were all on the 2013 World Junior team. Not sure where I first saw this but here's a video from CBC from 2002 about the current Canadian Junior Champion Sasha Fathoullin when he was 6 years old. It's a cute little fluff piece.

Cute video about Sasha, sk8erfan! I remember his name, and not just because it's unique - he came in third place behind John-Henry Krueger and Chris Creveling at AmCup 3 back in October, 2011. There were a lot of Canadians in that one - attached is the link from our results thread. I don't see any other names from that competition that are on your Juniors list for this weekend other than Sasha. www.therockerforum.proboards.com/post/9137/thread

I do remember that American Cup competition because of all the Canadians in it but I didn't realize Sasha was one of the skaters. Jamie MacDonald (who finished 11th overall at that American Cup) is a Junior skater and she finished 5th at the Canadian Junior Championships this year so she just missed a spot on the team.
Also, quite a few of those skaters are Seniors that I know are still competing like Keri Morrison, Samantha Morrison, Courtney Shmyr, Tessa Collard, Scott Beamish, Jacob McKenzie, and Keegan Christ. There's a few names I don't recognize or haven't seen in a while.

Hey y'all! I'll be up tomorrow night (overnight Thurs/Fri) to follow the action - 1am Pacific; 4am Eastern!
Feel free to join me if you'd like - this thread is open to guests and I'd welcome the company. See links upthread for the competition home page and video possibilities. In addition, Sportresult will most certainly be showing Live Data Feed.

Well, this isn't working a bit - it's 2am here, and I haven't even been able to get the ISU 'blinking numbers' yet. I can see from the home page results that all 3 of our ladies have made it to the 1500M Quarterfinals - but without any Live results, it's not really any fun, and I may as well get a good night's sleep and phone it in in the morning...
