I suppose it could be related to his fall yesterday, but my understanding was that he was 'walking wounded', so I'm stumped...

Well, my computer went into cardiac arrest just after the men's relay final. I think it's telling me it's time to get a shower, go to church, take a nap, and catch up with y'all later! (posting this as a last resort on my IPad)
As we will have to wait till at least late November for official numbers on qualifying slots from ISU, and we're all much too impatient for that...
LET THE CALCULATIONS BEGIN, AND MAY THE BEST MATHEMATICIAN WIN!

LET THE CALCULATIONS BEGIN, AND MAY THE BEST MATHEMATICIAN WIN! On that note, I've been working on the calculations with some help from Lori and Tony Chung. Here's the link to the results, Tony can edit the document so he's looking over it and making some changes while I go back to sleep.

Holy Smokes! I'm not sure if John Henry is doing gymnastics, figure skating or short track here. So glad he wasn't seriously injured, 'cause by the look of these pics, it could have been sooooo much worse than a cut on the chin. Glad he is OK. (Although I'll bet he was SERIOUSLY sore after this 'Flying Burrito Brothers' impression.) Photos via Jimmy Jang.

Definitely one of the more spectacular falls we've seen that DIDN'T result (thankfully) in an ambulance run. I hear JH has been having a lot of fun with it on Facebook - good sense of humor over something that looked so horrific! In pic #2 it looks like he DID have a fighting chance at breaking his fall, which may have been the difference between a few stitches and a concussion - or worse. And the Dutch skater's also lucky he didn't have to eat one of John-Henry's blades!

Yowza! That is positively scary! Especially the last shot. I hope his Mom hasn't seen that (gulp). Great skater.
