Bummer on the Live Stream, but maybe there will be some 'rink operatives' who will be kind enough to post results here (unless USS is quick on the trigger about posting them)!
I checked out the store, and I love, love, LOVE that logo - (speedskates arranged in the shape of a snowflake) - clever!
Everyone should note that the merchandise will NOT be for sale at the meet...

On Day 1 (Friday), John-Henry Krueger and Sally Chea were the big winners - they won BOTH the 9-Lap and 4-Lap Time Trials!
I'm looking for results from today's racing (Saturday)... but I'm hearing that there's been some controversy regarding some of the top skaters being pulled from the competition after the Time Trials because of a snafu in paperwork!
I know just enough about this to stick my foot in my mouth - so before I pop off, does anybody have more details about what happened?

Seems paperwork was not appropriately filed, and the skaters were pulled. How many years has USS been submitting paperwork to USOC & ISU to confirm skaters are eligible? Seems like this is something you could do in your sleep:
Junior Event coming up---check These skaters are eligible--check Do the paperwork---(oops, no check) Thought I did the paperwork--(oops, see above) Thought I did the paperwork, right--(oops, see above)
I see another grievance in our future! Sad, sad, sad.
Leadership at USS gets weaker by the day with no accountability. Who sanctions them?

I think it would be good to wait for the truth rather than jump to conclusions. It is possible some people may want to blame everything on the current board or staff, but you have to look at problems like these from all angles.
Is it possible that processes and procedures were not being followed before and now that they are, it seems like things are "bad" now, but perhaps it is a reflection on years of not following the rules before and letting things go for whatever reason? Were ST staff and coaches before letting things slide and now that rules are being followed it is an unpleasant shock? Were the staff and coaches allowed to create their own "rules" because they had the protection of a controlling element of the board, which may have lost some control over the last couple of years and especially since the last board meeting?
Is the current staff and board finding it difficult to focus on everything form day to day management to long term planning because those deposed elements of the staff and board (and the minority of them still on the board) are hell-bent on causing as much disruption and trouble for the organization as possible, just out of revenge, spite, or to try and get back in control?
Just asking.

I'm not sure if the competition is over yet, but a FB friend just reported that Jacqueline Chen is the new Ladies Junior US Champion!
I still haven't seen complete results yet, but the partial results show that John-Henry Krueger had won every event to that point, so I'm kind'a assuming he'll be the men's champ!

Just responding...
Then the current USS leaders might make it perfectly clear with some type of media statement that USS is in a reorganization phase and working through numerous growing pains that will result in many changes.
This is starting to sound like a game of "they did this" and it was wrong, so now we are doing "this" and it is right, but once again EVERYONE hears a different story, yet the athletes still suffer.
Maybe a 'grandfather' clause should be put in place to accommodate any skaters who might be effected by the new and improved USS who is abiding by ALL of the rules!
Just sayin'
